The **Real Steel S6** is a robust and decent pocket knife for everyday use. Designer Liang Gang became inspired by the Blue Sheep H6 model which was inspired by the Blue Sheep that live in the Himalaya. These sheep live independently and are equipped to handle themselves. Like this Real S6 pocket knife.


This S6 can handle its own. The G10 handle with titanium lockside is solid and feels great in hand. The blade is made from Japanese VG10 steel, a stainless type of steel that is easy to sharpen.


With the double thumb studs you can easily open the S6. When opened the blade is blocked by a solid framelock. This lock can also be handled with one hand to make sure you can quickly get to work, but can also quickly store your knife. To make sure you don’t accidentally close it the knife has been enhanced with a secondary lock that blocks the framelock.


The most striking aspect of the Real Steel S6 is the interesting price-quality ratio. It is not expensive and can do a lot. The perfect knife for anyone who needs to rely on their knife on a daily basis but doesn’t want to break the bank.

Not the best finish in the world .. but overall it’s a good knife. Nicely packaged, but the handle has some ‘snot’ on it from manufacture. 

A bit more attention to detail would be required on a knife of this cost to get a full 5 stars. 

That said, if it’s going to kick around in your pocket with your loose change then it will pick up worse during its long life I expect. A Well engineered knife with a nice smooth action. 

In summary.. a great knife, let down slightly by a poor final finish.

Zoals alle messen in de Real Steel H6-S6 lijn, is deze een topmes om als EDC te dragen. Ik heb nu op 2 na alle variaties in die lijn en kan enkel boffen met deze messen. Goede kwaliteit, lekker scherp doch simpel te scherpen met de juiste tools, perfect om zowel kleine karweitjes als grof werk te doen. De meerprijs tegenover de andere betaald zich wel door de enorme kwalitatieve matterialen. Nu is het een dagtaak om te kiezen welke ik vandaag weer als EDC draag
