This Sakai Takayuki bunka knife 16 cm from the 33-layer Damascus collection is enhanced with a kengata blade. This stands for 'sword-like' and refers to the suddenly sharply sloping end of the blade. Other than that the knife can be regarded as a member of the santoku family. With the narrow tip you can finely cut meat, fish and vegetables. Please note: the length of the blade is measured from the tip to the heel, so 20 cm, instead of 16 cm.

Expectations
I have a full set of these knives - Chef's, Santoku, Nakiri and now the Bunka Kengata. They look good and are brilliant to use. Only downside is the occasional cut to fingers because they are so good. Available from Knives and Tools at a very competitive pricve and delivered rapidly.
