 The **Tojiro DP3 hammered chef's knife 21 cm** is the perfect chef's knife. The 21 cm long blade is large and sharp enough to cut meats and vegetables of all types and sizes.


## Tojiro DP 3 blade


For knives there is always a compromise between hardness (sharp, but brittle and less stainless) and flexible (less sharp and less brittle, more stainless). Tojiro opted for a multi-layer construction. The core is made from VG10 steel surrounded by 13-chrome steel. This leaves you with a unique combination of hardness and a much higher corrosion-resistance than with carbon steel. The blade is also hammered. It not only looks nice, it also ensures that food won't stick to the blade.


## Tojiro DP 3 handle


The handle is made from black ECO. This is a combination of plastic and recycled wood. Sustainable and strong, won't easily bend and can handle wear and tear in the long run. The metal bolster is hygienic and ensures that dirt won't accumulate in between the blade and the handle. The handle is secured to the full-tang blade with three rivets.
