The **TRC Knives Polheim Magnacut Black Canvas Micarta** is a survival knife made in Lithuania. The Polheim is a smaller version of the TRC South Pole. The source of inspiration for the South Pole was Roald Amundsen. This Norwegian explorer was the first man to ever reach the South Pole. Despite the very challenging circumstances, he felt at home here. Amundsen established a camp here and named it Polheim. He was known for his excellent preparation with which he could handle all possible situations. With the TRC Polheim you will be just as prepared! This knife is perfect for adventurers who travel lightweight. 

## CPM MagnaCut steel

The TRC Knives Polheim has a blade made of Magnacut steel. A premium, stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well. With a comparable toughness and sharpness retention of carbon steels such as CPM-CruWear, CPM-4V and Vanadis 4. The corrosion resistance is also sublime. Better than the popular stainless types of steel such as CPM S110V, CPM S45VN and Böhler M390. The flat grind is applied by hand in the TRC workshop. This rarely happens with production knives. With a 3.3 mm blade thickness, the knife can handle many survival tasks. At the same time the edge is nice and thin to make sure the knife cuts properly.

## Micarta handle

The handle is made from micarta. The surface features a subtle embossed pattern. As a result, you will have even more grip over the knife. The TRC Knives Polheim comes with a stunning kydex sheath. It beautifully fits around the knife, you can definitely tell that a lot of attention was paid to it. With the Ulticlip, you can wear the kydex sheath on either the left or right side by loosening the screws of the clip and switching to the other side of the sheath. Of course, you can also select your own mounting method and screw this to the mounting holes. Please note: kydex almost always leaves behind small scratches on the blade as it slides in and out of the sheath. This is normal.

Not to exadurate but to me it's a perfect knife. It has everything I was looking for. Fit and finish is as you would expect, perfectly symetrical grinds and "welds" on a kydex sheeth are smooth and polished.

Everything on both the knife and sheath is perfect. Very sharp blade out of the box, precise grinds and fit. Comfortable handle, effective design. 5 stars well deserved
