The **Viper Fortis** is an absolutely amazing knife made from top-quality materials. The Fortis was designed by Danish knife designer Jesper Voxnaes. This knifemaker is known worldwide for his functional, ergonomic and friendly-looking knives. And the Viper Fortis is no exception. The design is very similar to the [Viper Kyomi](/en/pt/-viper-v5934ti-kyomi-stonewash-titanium.htm), which is a compact pocket knife by the same designer.


The blade is made from M390 steel. This powder steel is very popular because of its high corrosion resistance, great sharpness retention, and how easy it is to sharpen. The blade comes out from the handle smoothly with the help of the flipper. The knife has thrust bearings, which make the blade move so smoothly. When opened, the titanium frame lock with steel insert holds the blade firmly in place. The steel insert in the frame lock is multifunctional: it reduces wear on the titanium frame lock and also functions as an 'over-travel stop'. An over-travel stop ensures that you don't push the frame lock too far when unlocking.


The knife is very ergonomic. The curve for the flipper is just big enough to put a finger in without touching the edge. With your index finger in the recess and your thumb on the spine of the blade, you have a lot of control while using the knife. This firm grip is useful for precise cutting tasks.


The collaboration between Viper and Jesper Voxnaes has already resulted in several great knives. With the Fortis, they've taken this even further. A superb design, with equally superb materials. This is a top knife that deserves a place in every knife lover's collection.

Tiens bien en main, lame large coupe rasoir, affûtage facile, ouverture speed parfait, fermeture il faut juste prendre le coup, super couteau de tout les jours... Très bonne finition au si bien technique que visuel... 

Mooi mes maar het heeft wel z'n gebreken.

Uit de doos was ie niet soepel, na een week en enige nano olie is dit een stuk beter. 

Het mes zit niet in het midden, ik heb geprobeerd dit te corrigeren maar lukt niet. 

Enorme lock-stick! De eerste week moest ik hem met 2 handen ontgrendelen. Ik heb vanalles geprobeerd, sharpie en potlood erop. Het is iets minder maar zeker niet goed. 

Verder is het een prima mes. Flipt goed en met het duimgat ook zeer goed te open. Het mes voelt degelijk aan en ook de gebruikte materialen zijn goed.
