The **WE Knife Balaenoptera** is a large and cool pocket knife, based on a whale. The organically formed blade is made from Böhler M390 steel. One of the most popular premium types of steel on the market. Retains its sharpness well and – for a whale – is incredibly stainless.


The Balaenoptera can smoothly and quickly be opened with the flipper. Around the pivot WE has placed ceramic ball bearings. Combined with the steel insert in the titanium framelock this takes care of an enormous upgrade in terms of the life of the pocket knife.


With the handle WE Knife demonstrates once again that they are absolute masters when it comes to milling work. The titanium handles are produced with extreme precision and a lot of attention was paid to the details. Complex finishes you often only find in pocket knives that cost three times as much, make this knife look stunning. But not just the looks. The ergonomics are also worth mentioning. The handle is rather big and offers great grip. *All the right curves in all the right places.*.


Because of the recurve in the blade and the wavy edge the Balaenoptera is amazing to work with. The large belly and thin grind make it an absolute slicer.
