This nice **Wüsthof Amici bread knife** is enhanced with a 23 cm long blade and is perfect when cutting bread. With the long, serrated blade you can cut all types of bread: from hard to soft crusts, from buns to baguettes. But you can use the knife for more than just bread. It is also great for cakes and pies. And what about hard vegetables and fruit like melons, pumpkins and celeriac! A serrated knife is a lot more versatile than you might think.

The edge of the knife is enhanced with double serrations. This means that the knife retains its sharpness for a really long time. It will also leave behind less crumbs.

## Blade made from X50CrMoV15 steel

The blade of the Amici knives is made from one piece of X50Cr15MoV-steel. This is a frequently used Western type of steel with excellent qualities. As such it can withstand rust, but at the same time it is strong enough with a hardness of 58 HRC. It is a type of steel you can also easily sharpen yourself if need be. The blade of these knives runs throughout the entire olive wood handle.

## Olive wood handle

The handle is made from stunning Calabrian olive wood. Calabria is a region in the south of Italy. The wood has a beautiful pattern that is unique to each knife, as it is a natural product. This means that the knives you see in the photos may differ from the one you receive at home. These will only be minor deviations in the pattern on the handle. To keep the handle beautiful as long as possible and not to damage it, it is important not to put the knife in the dishwasher. Wash the knives by hand after use and dry them properly.
