The **Wüsthof lapping stone** is a small, extra-coarse sharpening stone to lap and clean your sharpening stones. Sharpening stones wear out during use. Even the most expensive sharpening stones and even while using the best technique. This lapping stone ensures that the sharpening stone wears out evenly to make sure the stone will always stay flat. It also removes all metal particles from the sharpening stone so that your stone not only looks better but also remains effective. 

## How to use the Wüsthof lapping stone
