The **Zwilling Life Chinese chef's knife 18 cm** is perfect when preparing meat, fish and vegetables in a traditional Chinese manner. In the Chinese kitchen this chef's knife is often used because the height of the blade enables you to easily use your fingers as a guide as you use the knife. It works safely and quickly and is very practical. This Chinese chef's knife can also be used to, for instance, crush garlic. The blade is not suited to cut through bones! For it we recommend using a cleaver.


 The blade is made from ice-hardened steel. The result is the right hardness of the steel. The quality of the steel convinces with an optimal balance of chromium and carbon content. According to Zwilling this leaves you with the perfect mix between hardness, sharpness retention, ability to sharpen and resistance to chipping. 


The ergonomically shaped handle feels great in hand, even in large hands. The handle is relatively rough. As such it feels comfortable, even while wearing gloves or when your hands are wet. The handle is enhanced with the characterizing Zwilling logo.


The transition from the crop to the blade is seamless. This is ergonomically sound, but also great in terms of hygiene. However, we recommend cleaning the knives by hand. When you clean them in your dishwasher the blade and handle can wear out faster.
