Well, if you got yourself a Lansky sharpening system, this piece here is a must, or esle it will be very awkward sharpening your knives just holding the clamp.

Why anyone would want to manage without a stand, or the other vice clamp eludes me, I’ve bought the luxury diamond set and the deluxe standard set and need this for both. It’s essential to get the best from the system

Worth every penny if you're buying the Lansky Sharpening System. Give good support and make the whole job easier. I have fixed mine to am old wooden chopping board and it works well.

A little pricey and not particularly well made accompaniment to the Lansky Deluxe Diamond Sharpening System. It's not essential but makes the sharpening process much more effective and comfortable. I'm very glad I bought one.
