The Opinel pocket knife with wooden handle. Originally created by Joseph Opinel in 1890 for use by farmers. The Opinel Pocket knife is a famous, yet very cheap pocket knife for everyday use. You can get very small versions or fairly large ones.

The larger models are equipped with a simple but effective Virobloc-locking. This is a ring, which can be pivoted around the hinge point. This causes blocking of the blade. A classic in true sense of the word.  
   
   
  


Many of the Opinel knives are made of carbon steel, which is quite susceptible to rust. However, this knife has a blade made of Sandvik 12C27-steel. This type of steel is stainless, promoting userfriendliness.

Non ha bisogno di pesentazioni questo inox da 10 cm....coltello affidabile che è sopravvissuto nel tempo sempre a testa alta! Consiglio l'acquisto.

Echt een heel goed mes, zeker voor de prijs.
Hij werd behoorlijk scherp geleverd. 
En door het dunne lemet en de convex grind is het echt een heerlijk mes om mee te werken.
Ik gebruik dit mes nu dagelijks bij het koken, echt ideaal!

Wel opent en sluit het mes wat moeizaam als er ook maar iets wat water op het houten handvat spat, bij bijv het af spoelen.


This is just too big. So big it is comical to me. The larger blade alsy means larger lever and the metal twisty tingy can't handle this making the lock basically useless.

Unless you want this oversized opinel specifically because you want a comicly unpractical Opinel, I would reccomend the nr 08. The nr 08 is an awesome bit of bommer kit well worth the coin.
