The **Spyderco Ladybug 3 K390 LF3K390** is a very compact knife and a worthy member of the Spyderco family. Despite its size and the friendly design you shouldn't underestimate the Ladybug. The blade, that is locked with a backlock, is definitely meant to be used. The ridges on the spine of the blade ensure that you have a lot of control over your movements.

 This version of the Spyderco Ladybug is enhanced with premium Böhler K390 steel. This is a tool steel that contains a lot of carbon and vanadium. As such K390 is very wear and tear resistant. It retains its sharpness well and is also quite easy to sharpen. K390, however, is not completely corrosion resistant. Fortunately all you have to do is maintain it well, clean it after use and occasionally add a couple drops of oil and you won't be bothered by corrosion at all.

 The Ladybug is great as a keychain pocket knife. When closed it is only 6.4 cm long and weighs only 16 grams. Smaller and lighter than the average car key. The materials used are perfect for a small knife like the Ladybug. The FRN handle weighs next to nothing. FRN can also handle cold, heat, moisture and many chemicals. Both left and right-handed users can easily use this knife. It truly is a friend to all.

Un gran cuchillo, tiene un precio elevado, pero el acero es bueno. Lo uso como cuchillo de llavero para uso diario, y funciona muy bien. El K390 es un gran acero, mucho más resistente que otros aceros. Otros se vuelven opacos casi todos los días, este mantiene el filo durante mucho más tiempo y, con solo una correa de cuero y un compuesto de diamante de 3-6 micrones, vuelve a estar afilado como una cuchilla de afeitar.

Nice little knife, but I was expecting more for the price of it, grind not perfect 

Es mi primer Spyderco y me ha dejado una muy buena impresión. Desde los materiales del mango hasta la ergonomía, para ser una navaja tan pequeña. En mi caso considero que es necesario ponerle una rabiza para tener un mejor agarre. El acero es mas suseptible a la oxidación que otros aceros al carbono que poseo y si bien parece retener muy bien el filo, en una hoja tan pequeña no puedo llegara  aapreciarlo tan bien. El bloqueo funciona muy bien, así como la apertura y cierre a una sola mano.

Excellent couteau porte-clés. Le prix du produit peut sans doute freiner les ardeurs de certains(es), mais je vous assure que la qualité Spyderco est présente avec ce petit objet à la lame tranchante dotée d’un verrouillage digne des grands frères de la marque.

I bought it as a cheap way to try out K390 steel, not really having a need or imagined use for the knife. Regardless I've grown to enjoy it a great deal. Ergonomics and the amount knife you get for such a small size is surprising. I also worried that the steel would be difficult to sharpen, but it isn't. Using DMT and Spyderco medium stones it's about comparable with D2 and VG10 of good hardness, slightly easier than S30V.
