Luxury cutting board, made of heat treated beech wood.

 The Wüsthof 7296 cutting board is a luxurious cutting board. It is easily picked up by the recessed handles in the sides of the board. The board is relatively light, because it is only 3cm high. Little rubber feet on the bottom make sure the board doesn’t slide around while cutting. 


The thermally treated beech wood is less sensitive to stretching and shrinking than untreated beech wood. The wood is 'baked' at a temperature between 180 and 220 degrees, which gives it this dark and chic look. The wood is impregnated by the thermal treatment, which adds the first layer of protection, making it less sensitive to moisture. Please note: wooden boards should never be submerged or soaked in water! 

## Cleaning the cutting board
To make sure your board stays in great shape maintenance is key! Fortunately, this isn’t as time consuming as you might think. Clean the board after use by rinsing it off under the tap. Afterwards dry it properly. Never put the board in the dishwasher! Place it upright (or hang it) to make sure it dries properly.

## Adding oil to your board
A wooden cutting board needs to be maintained. To make sure it stays in great shape, we recommend adding oil to both sides of the board. It makes cleaning the board easier, the wood won’t dry out and it also makes sure scratches are less visible. When adding oil to a cutting board it is best if you use a flavourless and odourless oil. Almond or grapeseed oil, for instance. (Please note: we don’t recommend using almond oil if you are allergic to nuts). Do not use olive oil because it gets sticky and dirty. Something you wish to avoid, of course. You need to add oil to your board approx. once a month. Plank van topkwaliteit, makkelijk schoon te maken en geweldig in het gebruik.

Prima cutting board. Ruikt heerlijk (!) uit de doos. Om de zoveel tijd wrijf ik m in met wat olie, daar blijft de plank erg mooi van. 

De snijplank is perfect van formaat en oerdegelijk. Zorg wel dat je hem na gebruik meteen schoonmaakt met een vochtig doekje en niet gaat afwassen. (mits heel vies natuurlijk) 

Voor de rest aan te raden om de plank wel 1x per maand even in te oliën met snijplank olie dit zorgt ervoor dat het hout in top conditie blijft.
