This **Zwilling Pro chef's knife** is a real all-rounder in your kitchen. You use it when cutting vegetables, meat and fish, but also when, for instance, chopping herbs, crushing pepper corns or peeling a clove of garlic. As such a chef's knife will come in handy when making any type of dish.

The kitchen knives from the [Zwilling Pro collection](/en/ct/zwilling-pro-knives.htm) are enhanced with a blade that is forged from one piece of steel. The full tang blade seamlessly merges with the plastic handle. The handle is secured to the steel with three rivets. The transition between the handle and steel is seamless. No dirt can accumulate in between. These knives are enhanced with a classic design and appeal to those who prefer heavier knives. 

## Friodur steel chef's knife

The blade is made from ice-hardened Friodur steel. During this process the steel is heated in 4 stages to 1000°C and cooled to-70 °C. Zwilling perfected this technique, which guarantees optimum sharpness, sustainability, elasticity and corrosion resistance. The knife is sharpened in five steps and the result is a perfectly sharpened knife. The crop of the knife does not extend to the edge of the blade to make sure you can easily sharpen it on a sharpening stone. 

## Are the kitchen knives dishwasher safe?

Thanks to the seamless construction and the materials used, knives from the Zwilling Pro collection are dishwasher proof. We do, however, advise against it. Most types of detergent are too aggressive. In addition, it is possible that the knife could come into contact with other hard items in the dishwasher. This could damage the edge and wear out the knife.

Super, ligt goed in de hand, het gewicht en de balans is perfect, blijft lang scherp, is gemakkelijk te slijpen, niet te duur. Wat wil je eigenlijk nog meer van een koksmes?

Dit koksmes van 20 cm is een echte aanwinst in mijn keuken. Het ligt goed in de hand, voelt stevig aan en snijdt alles moeiteloos — van groenten tot vlees. Je merkt meteen dat dit mes gemaakt is om lang mee te gaan. Het ziet er mooi uit, blijft lang scherp en maakt koken gewoon leuker. Zeker zijn prijs waard!

Un cuchillo equilibrado, se adapta muy bien a la mano, fácil de afilar y limpiar. En pocas palabras, un cocinero contento con su herramienta. ;)
