The **Extrema Ratio Selvans** is a large knife made for survival and bushcraft purposes. Designed in cooperation with Master Advanced F.I.S.S. instructor Daniele Dal Canto (Italian Federation of Sports and Experimental Survival). The Selvans is made for the most demanding cutting and chopping tasks.

However, the forprene handle is very cleverly shaped so that it is still easy to manage. There is even a finger groove in front of the finger guard. This allows you to grab the knife close to the edge, giving you lots of control. If you grab the back of the handle, your natural reaction is immediately a chopping movement. Exactly as Extrema Ratio intended. And it chops wonderfully, because the centre of gravity is towards the front of the blade in front of the handle. Perfectly balanced.

The MOLLE-compatible nylon sheath allows you to carry the knife on your gear. The sheath is also enhanced with a leg-strap to make sure you secure the sheath on your leg. As such the sheath won't move as you run or climb.

## Böhler N690 steel blade

The blade is made from Austrian Böhler N690 steel. This is a stainless steel with long sharpness retention that is also used for surgical tools. N690 is highly durable and can be sharpened until razor sharp.

## Forprene handle

The handle is made from Forprene, a durable thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) which has a rubbery feel. This gives you a firm, comfortable grip on the handle, regardless of the situation you're in.
