Zoals het mes op de foto lijkt is het in werkelijkheid niet. Uiteraard blijft hout een natuur product maar hier lijken de twee zijden van het mes absoluut niet op elkaar. Tevens zijn de grootste stukken van het hout gewoon blank zonder tekening of pigment, alsof het berken was. De afwerking laat ook te wensen over. Niet echt sluitende onderdelen en de hoekjes van de achterzijde van het lemmet zijn zeer scherp (hieraan haalt u uw vingers en kleding open). Op zich zo op te lossen met een wetsteen, maar slordig voor een dergelijk mes. Ook is het lemmet niet echt scherp en is het niet gelijkmatig geslepen. Aan een kant is er een duidelijk andere hoek dan aan de andere e dicht bij het heft is er te diep in geslepen. Vast een handgemaakt met, maar zeker machinaal geslepen en aangezet. Al met al valt het zeer tegen. Mijn eerste en zeker ook mijn laatste mes van FP!! Momenteel ligt het in de doos te liggen, vermoed dat ik het uiteindelijk maar in de tuin ga gebruiken om het onkruid tussen de tegels uit te snijden. Voor hetzelfde geld zijn veel betere messen te koop die wel netjes zijn afgewerkt.

Een uiterst mooie mes dat zeer goed is af ge werkt. Bijna niks om over negatief te zeggen over deze mooie hand gemaakte mes. Enige min punt is dat je heel goed moet uit kijken met het sluiten van de mes. Dat je kostbare vingers er niet tussen komen. De veer is namelijk zeer krachtig. En kan dus tijdens dicht doen de binnen kant van de mes raken. Dus aller tijden de mes voorzichtig en rustig sluiten.
