The Hogue Deka is a slender and lightweight pocket knife. It has a very high fidget factor thanks to Hogue's Able-lock. You won't be able to stop yourself opening and closing the blade. But of course, this knife is meant to be used. As you would expect from a Hogue, the handle is fine: excellent grip, and perfectly executed.

The action was very stiff out of the box and oil would not fix it. I needed to disassemble the knife which somehow fixed the issue. There is also a tiny chip in the blade. I appreciate the scales are not designed to be the best, however when you buy the knife for the magnacut steel, having a chip in the blade is very disappointing.

Das Hogue Deka ist kleiner als gedacht. Als erklärter Bugout-Killer hab ich ungefähr die gleichen Maße erwartet. Sowohl das Bugout, als auch das Kershaw Bel Air sind größer oder fühlen sich zumindest so an. Auch fühlen sich diese beiden direkten Konkurrenten wertiger an als das Deka. Der Griff wirkt doch arg billig, gerade im Vergleich zum Aluminium des Bel Air. Beim Deka werde ich wohl das erste Mal andere Scales ausstatten.
