The **Microtech Socom Alpha Mini** is the fixed-blade, full-tang version of the popular Microtech Socom Elite pocket knife. Inspired by the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM), the elite command behind units such as the Navy SEALs, Air Force PJs and Army Rangers, the Socom Alpha Mini is built for peak performance in the toughest conditions. In short; this knife is built to last a lifetime.

The knife comes with a premium kydex sheath.



The blade of the Microtech Socom Alpha Mini 113-1DLCCFS, Black DLC M390, Black Carbon Fiber, fixed knife measures 13.6 cm in length and 4.2 mm in thickness. The total length is 26.5 cm.



## Blade made from Böhler M390 steel
The blade of the Microtech Socom Alpha Mini 113-1DLCCFS, Black DLC M390, Black Carbon Fiber, fixed knife is made of Böhler M390. This is premium steel from Austria that is immensely popular for pocket knives, because M390 stays sharp for an incredibly long time. Moreover, it's very stainless. This makes it an excellent choice for a pocket knife you carry with you every day. Because M390 is incredibly hard, we recommend sharpening this pocket knife with diamond sharpening stones or ceramic sharpening stones, or a sharpening system that uses these sharpening stones.



The blade is finished with a DLC coating, which stands for ‘Diamond Like Carbon’. It's a very hard coating that is even harder than the steel. This makes DLC very scratch-resistant, and this coating protects the blade against corrosion. DLC is very hard, but it is also only a thin layer: eventually, you will always see signs of use.



The Microtech Socom Alpha Mini 113-1DLCCFS, Black DLC M390, Black Carbon Fiber, fixed knife comes with a sheath made of kydex, a sturdy plastic that will keep the steel safe. However, it is important to keep a kydex sheath clean on the inside. Rinse it regularly with water. This will prevent dirt from remaining in the sheath, which can scratch the blade.
