The **Reate Fallout 2.0** is a large, solid pocket knife, designed by Rick Barrett. He is well-known for his large, exclusive pocket knives. This Fallout 2.0 is the production model of his popular Fallout model.



Fallout is the term used to describe the aftermath of a nuclear explosion. This ties in with the “post-apocalyptic” look of this pocket knife. The handle of the Reate Fallout 2.0 is made from titanium. The coarse stonewash and milled grip serrations give the knife a very tough appearance.




The blade is made from CTS-204P steel, a very stainless and wear-resistant steel. It's a bit difficult to sharpen, but it has exceptional sharpness retention. Thegrind of this blade is pretty special. It is referred to as acompound grind. It means that the rear part of the blade has a hollow grind, while the front part is has a simple flat grind. This gives the blade a variety of cutting properties. It has strength at the tip, and a thinner edge at the back forslicing. So you can choose which cutting geometry you prefer. It's quite complicated to produce, but looks seriously nifty.




You can quickly open the Fallout 2.0 with the flipper. Ball bearings around the pivot ensure that the blade moves smoothly. When opened, the blade is locked in place by a solid frame lock. The steel insert will keep the lock in great shape for years to come.




The Reate Fallout 2.0 is a wonderful example of the capabilities of one of the best producers in the world. A fantastic design, flawlessly produced. A beauty of a knife!
