With this Shapton Pro Stone grain 8000 you can sharpen quickly and evenly. This ceramic Japanese sharpening stone has a grain size of 8000. A great stone when polishing a razor-sharp edge. This stone, however, is also great when sharpening straight razors. The stone can be used with almost all types of knives. From outdoor knives to kitchen knives, from pocket knives to chisels.

An excellent waterstone which I use for achieving a mirror finish. I currently follow this by stropping with a balsa/leather strop, but I am not sure this last step is really necessary.
