The **Spyderco Police 4** is one of the classics in the Spyderco range. One of the first models ever. Throughout the years the Police constantly improved because of Spyderco’s Constant Quality Improvement program. This new incarnation is the result of the knowledge of the past ten years, combined with an amazing type of steel.


The thin blade on the Police is best highlighted with an incredibly hard type of steel. For that reason Spyderco has enhanced this edition with Böhler K390 steel. This is a type of tool steel with a lot of carbon and vanadium. As a result K390 is very abrasion resistant. It retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen if need be. It might not be entirely stainless but if you take good care of it, clean it regularly and add a couple drops of oil you have got nothing to worry about.


You can easily open the Spyderco Police 4 with one hand by using the thumb hole. When opened the firm backlock keeps the blade in place. Striking is how everything perfectly fits: definitely a top-quality knife. The G10 handle offers you enough grip, weighs next to nothing and is incredibly strong.

Very lightweight folder. Easy to carry. Very slim. Just need to keep clean with silicone spray as blade takes a patina due to type of steel. Very classy pocket knife.
