It's still early days yet, but I can conform these stone remove material very quickly. I flattened with a Trend Diamond stone, but it left scratches, so invested in the Shapton Diamond stone

This is the 2nd set if these stones I've bought and they are exceptional. They make sharpening a joy and they last a very long time.

A heck of a lot cheaper than rip off Amazon et al. Will be buying all my sharpening requirements from here. Just wish the Shapton flattening plate was a bit cheaper. However, if you want the best.....buy once cry once.

These are top quality sharpening stones, and this set is very good value for money compared to buying stones individually. The three grades here are about bang on for preparing & sharpening chisels, though ideally I'd have liked a combination of 500 grit, 4000 grit & 16000 grit, but maybe that's because I already have a 100 grit diamond stone!

Purchased these to replace some really cheap stones I had been using and these were definitely worth every penny. No comparison to cheap stones. Super sharp knives and super easy to use
