Work Sharp Precision Adjust
In 2020, Work Sharp released the first Precision Adjust sharpening system. Recognisable by its black plastic base. This sharpening system made manually sharpening your pocket knives easy and accurate, and is more affordable than many other sharpening systems. The sharpening angle is infinitely adjustable from 15 to 30 degrees. The clamp has a rubber interior and is easy to loosen and tighten by hand, and you can turn the knife around without removing it from the clamp. Should you want to take a closer look at the blade's edge: the entire clamp is magnetically linked to the system, making it easy to detach and attach.
The Precision Adjust includes one sharpening stone holder. This sharpening stone holder contains three fixed stones: a coarse 320 grit diamond sharpening stone for repairs or resetting the edge, a 600 grit for sharpening dull knives, and an extra-fine ceramic sharpening stone for a razor-sharp finish. You easily switch between stones without disconnecting anything. In short: it's an ideal entry-level model for any knife enthusiast who wants high performance without breaking the bank.
The Precision Adjust Upgrade Kit
For those looking to make the most of their standard version, there's the Upgrade Kit. It includes additional sharpening stone holders with a total of six different sharpening stones, including coarse diamond stones (220, 320, 400 grit), fine stones (600, 800 grit) and a ceramic finishing stone. Also included: a leather strop and a ceramic sharpening steel for serrated knives. Everything fits neatly into a handy storage bag. Work Sharp Professional Precision Adjust
Work Sharp wouldn't be Work Sharp if they didn't see room for improvement. Customers requested a more sturdy system, with more options for sharpening small knives. In 2023, the Professional version was released.
The Professonial proved to be a seriosu upgrade with a full-metal base and clamp. This provides extra stability and thus accuracy. The base is fitted with screw holes so you can mount it to your workbench. In addition, the Professional is slightly larger, making it easier to sharpen larger knives.
Fortunately, the best features are found on the Professional version. For example, the clamp is rubberised and simple to tighten by hand. In addition, the entire clamp can rotate 360 degrees and is easy to attach and remove from the system. This system allows you to sharpen longer knives, meaning you can tilt the entire sharpening system backwards to flip the knife without having to remove the knife from the clamp. A feature unique to the Professional!
In addition to the standard angle setting of 15° to 30°, the Professional has a digital angle indicator. You place this on the guide rod with a magnet, and it will measure with an accuracy of 0.01°. An incredibly practical feature for those who really crave that perfect edge.
The included 'Small Knife Table' can be used instead of the clamps. Ideal for small pocket knives and kitchen knives. Thanks to the magnetic surface and micro-adjustment buttons, you position the knife exactly where you want it.
The sharpening stones are not only high-quality diamond, but also larger than on the standard model. The sharpening stone holder is more robust and has more reach, allowing for much more comfortable and even sharpening of long kitchen knives.
