The **Case Large Stockman American Workman Smooth Red Synthetic 73929** is a true classic in the pocket knife world. This pattern is almost as old as the entire category of Traditionals. This Case Stockman is a very pure incarnation of this classic model. It is enhanced with three blades: a clippoint blade as a main blade, a 5.7 cm sheepsfoot blade and, of course, the almost indispensable Spey blade. This is a spearpoint with a sort of blunt tip. Originally this shape was used to gut game.

When opened the three blades are kept in place by a slipjoint. Because Case uses two lock-springs to keep three blades in place, it is unavoidable that the blades are close together and may even touch each other when the knife is closed. This is a part of the design of the blade and also gives it its authentic charm.

## Carbon steel blades

The three polished blades are made from carbon steel. Carbon steel is not stainless and needs to be carefully maintained. The advantage of carbon steel is that it can be sharpened to higher levels of sharpness than stainless steel. Since it's not stainless, you need to be careful around moisture and acids. Always clean and dry the knife immediately after use.

## Red Synthetic handle
