The **Spyderco Manix 2 Salt MagnaCut C101PYL2** has been one of the most successful models from the Spyderco collection for quite some time. This version of the Manix 2 is part of Spyderco's famous Salt collection. This knife series consists of knives that are specifically designed for maritime purposes. Every single part, from the blade to the screws, is corrosion resistant.

## CPM MagnaCut blade

The blade is made from CPM MagnaCut. One of the most talked-about steels of the past years. Many feel this type of steel is 'perfect'. Quite the statement. But they are right. It is a stainless type of tool steel. With a comparable toughness and sharpness retention of carbon steels such as CPM-CruWear, CPM-4V and Vanadis 4.

The corrosion resistance is also sublime. Better than the popular stainless types of steel such as CPM S110V, CPM S45VN and Böhler M390. That's why Spyderco chose this steel type to be an addition to the Salt collection.

## Ball-bearing lock

When opened, the blade is locked in place by a solid ball bearing lock. This is a user-friendly lock that still ensures you can easily open and close the knife.

## FRCP handle

The handle of this knife is made from FRCP, a light-weight glass-reinforced polymer. This makes the handle incredibly light, but just as sturdy. The handle features a deep-carry wire clip that is suitable for both left-handed users and right-handed users.

Hatte schon viele Spydercos.
Darunter diverse Manix Modelle.

Man mag von den FRN Modellen ja halten, was man will, die sind stabil und dem Zweck entsprechend.

Dennoch werde ich wohl noch ein normales kaufen und die Klingen tauschen.
Nicht wegen den Linern, sondern wegen dem knalligen Gelb.
Klar, man findet es selbst nachts ruckzuck auf dem Waldboden, wie auch am Grund wieder (Sinn des Gelbs), aber ich mag es dann doch dezent.

Spyderco hat es super gehärtet, noch keine Nicks, die beim LC200 UKPK da waren, obwohl der LC200 tougher ist….
