Waiter's corkscrew: for the real wine enthusiast

Opening a bottle of wine becomes even better when you open it with a fancy waiter's corkscrew, also called a sommelier knife. A waiter's corkscrew is a corkscrew enhanced with a lever. The spiral quickly and easily disappears into the cork after which you can easily pull it out without leaving any pieces of cork behind. How to use a waiter's corkscrew 

You start by removing the foil. Most sommelier knives contain a small knife in order to remove the foil. Haven't got a knife close? Use the sharp tip of the spiral. Place the tip of the corkscrew in the middle of the cork. Like with a normal corkscrew you turn the spiral into the cork. Make sure the corkscrew moves straight down. Turn until the spiral is completely inside the cork. This is the case if you can no longer see the screw thread. After you have turned in the corkscrew, you place the arm on the edge of the opening. The handle functions as a lever and ensures that the cork is removed from the bottle.
