Wuben torches
Wuben makes compact, rechargeable LED torches you can carry every day. The factory behind the brand has been building torches since 1981, for years on behalf of other brands and since 2016 under its own name. You can tell: solid aluminium bodies, USB-C charging and plenty of models rated IP68. From a 52 gram keychain light to a pocket-sized torch with 1,800 lumens, we test them all ourselves.
Buying a Wuben torch
Wuben calls its approach Easy Carry Light: light you take along without thinking about it. You notice that in the sizes. The torches are small and light enough for your pocket or your keyring, yet they put out more light than many far bigger lamps. Almost everything in the range charges over USB-C, so you need no charging dock and no loose batteries.
Who is that for? For anyone who needs light every day, from working in the fuse box to an evening walk with the dog. We test all products ourselves, so you only buy the models we would carry ourselves.
Maintenance is simple. Keep the threads and the charging port clean and dry, and top up the battery now and then if you have not used the torch for a while. That keeps the waterproofing intact and you will enjoy your torch for years.
Wuben series
Wuben E7
The Wuben E7 is a pocket-sized tube light running on an 18350 battery. Short enough to carry always, with 1,800 lumens on its highest setting. Useful if you want a torch that does not bulge in your pocket but still gives serious light.
Wuben C3
The Wuben C3 is the classic 18650 tube light: a little longer, with the switch at the tail. That tail switch makes one-handed use easy, gloves on as well. A logical choice as a fixed torch for work, hunting or the car.
Wuben G5
The Wuben G5 hangs on your keyring and weighs next to nothing. Besides white light this series also carries red, green and blue, handy for reading maps, working on a bike or signalling. The battery is built in and charges over USB-C.
Wuben X4
The Wuben X4 combines a far-reaching beam with three switches, one of them tactical. This series too gives red, green and blue light alongside white. The pick for anyone who wants every mode straight under their thumb.
Wuben product types
Besides torches, Wuben also makes head torches, camping lights and the matching accessories. The head torches keep your hands free while hiking, working or camping. The camping lights give soft, wide light for the tent or the table. There are also separate 18650, 21700 and 14500 batteries, diffusers and holders, so you can set up your torch the way you actually use it.
About Wuben
The factory behind Wuben has existed since 1981 and spent decades making torches for large international brands. In 2016 the company registered its own brand and started selling under the Wuben name. That background as a producer for others explains a lot of the build quality in our view: threads that run smoothly and O-rings that seal properly.
The starting point of the brand is Easy Carry Light, which grew out of the question why a good torch always had to be big and heavy. Wuben now sells in more than 160 countries.
