Peelers turn peeling into a piece of cake
With a peeler you can easily remove the skin from potatoes and vegetables but also fruit such as kiwis and pumpkins. Because of the narrow opening the skin is removed in thin slices. You use the peeler by placing the knife perpendicular to the object and peel away from you. Peelers are available in many shapes and sizes. Most peelers have a flexible blade that adapts to the shape of the product. A couple are enhanced with a sharpened tip or eye to make sure you can easily remove potato eyes. You can also easily use a peeler with teeth to cut vegetables into small strips. This is called julienne and is great for salads and soups!
