Graters: essential for every kitchen!

A good grater should be included in any kitchen. We only sell top-quality graters, not like those graters that are blunt when you purchase them. Whether you want to grate nutmeg, chocolate or cheese: we sell the one that will suit your needs. As the last bit of grating is always tricky, we also sell cut-resistant gloves. This allows you to safely grate that last little piece without worrying about cutting yourself.

When do you use a grater?

You grab a grater when you want to grate, shred or crush ingredients. You can really only tackle the following ingredients with a grater: citrus fruits, cheese, hard vegetables, chocolate, nuts, seeds, coconut, garlic, spices, ginger, fruit and vegetable peels, breadcrumbs. Graters have a surface with small sharp holes or teeth. With these, you'll reduce even the hardest or toughest ingredients to little pieces, allowing you to make any ingredient into the desired size for your dish.

How to choose the best grater

Ask yourself the question: what will I mainly use the grater for? Choose a grater that fits the ingredients you'll most often use. Consider the size of the grater, as well as the shape of the teeth or holes on the grater. Smaller teeth are suitable for finely grating things like cheese and spices, while coarser teeth are good for hard fruits and vegetables and therefore also offer a chunkier result.

Kinds of graters

The type of grater you use (fine, medium, coarse) depends on the desired result. Different types of graters are available, including microplane graters, box graters and drum graters, each suitable for different purposes.
