Since its introduction in 1997, the Spyderco Native model has been a staple in the Spyderco range. With each generation, this model has evolved, resulting in the refined Native 5, launched in 2012. The latest edition of the Native collection, the Native 5 Lightweight, combines the same technical perfection with significant weight savings thanks to its glass-fibre reinforced nylon (FRN) handle. This gives you maximum control while using the pocket knife. The choil is a recess at the base of the blade, just in front of the handle.
